Speaker of the Iowa House Pat Grassley held a press conference on Thursday. The Iowa Standard isn’t notified of these press gaggles with Grassley despite repeated requests from House Republican staff. The Iowa Standard also was not granted access to the floor of the Iowa House despite having more Facebook engagement than any other media on the floor of the House despite The Des Moines Register — who likely gains much of their engagement from sports coverage.

Regardless, due to the position the Iowa House has put The Iowa Standard in, all we can do is share what other media said Grassley said when discussing Sen. Jake Chapman’s bill to ban obscene materials and hard-core pornographic materials from school libraries.

WHO-TV 13 reported Grassley said:

“I don’t want anyone to take away that is something that has a broad level of support. I think it is a little more isolated from that standpoint.”

According to the Capital Dispatch, Grassley said the House isn’t looking at an approach from the standpoint of criminal penalties “and things like that.”

  1. Anything less than a firm stance against exposing porn and Marxist ideology to children is to be an enabler. Period. There is no nuanced approach to this subject.

It’s one thing if a parent wants to expose their children to such moral corruption on their own time, just as Christian parents are expected – – by secularists – – to train their children within the 4 walls of their church and home. But to expose our children to this filth using tax dollars and the veneer of government approval???

Who’s side is Pat on? Certainly not the nuclear family and the majority of Iowans who want to see our children protected.

Could it be he owes his allegiance to Marxist lobbyists who want nothing less than to make children wards of the State. Who’s children? YOUR children, your grandkids. They, and the squishy RINOs who enable them, want our kids to be raised by a village of insane degenerates!

2022/24 will not be kind to these godless liberals, no matter how much $$$ and ballot cheating they have behind them.
