Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas announced immigration enforcement will stop workplace raids to capture and detain illegal immigrants, calling the operations “misallocated enforcement resources.”
But these raids often capture hundreds of migrants who are in the United States illegally. One worksite raid in 2019 captured over 600 illegal immigrants.
