Today, Zach Nunn for Congress announced that candidate Zach Nunn has completed his tour of Iowa’s Third Congressional district, visiting all 21 counties in the new district. Nunn began the tour once the district lines were finalized and ended the tour in the new addition of Wapello County. He met with Iowans, state legislators, mayors, council members, farmers and healthcare providers in each county, becoming the first and only candidate in IA-03 to complete the district tour.

“Meeting with folks in all 21 counties, from farmers in Adams, veterans in Greene, first-responders in Madison to small businesses in Wapello, we are hearing from Iowans first-hand their concerns,” said Zach Nunn. “It’s important to know the priorities for Polk and Dallas residents – but it’s equally important to hear first-hand from our rural communities and Main Street neighbors. Representing the new third congressional district demands a leader who will work to serve all our counties.”

Iowa’s new Third Congressional district grew from 16 to 21 counties, while still including Iowa’s most populous area of Polk County. In 2020, the one and only county that Cindy Axne won in the new district was Polk. The newly drawn IA-03 district remains ‘highly competitive’ and landed on the National Republican Congressional Committee’s targeted list for 2022.
