United States Sen. Josh Hawley was told his line of questioning was “transphobic” and that he was denying trans people exist because he told a Berkeley Law Professor called Khiara Bridges that men cannot get pregnant.

Hawley asked Bridges if she meant women when she referred to “people with a capacity for pregnancy.”

Bridges was hostile toward Hawley.

“I want to recognize that your line of questioning is transphobic, and it opens up trans people to violence by not recognizing them,” she said.

Hawley asked if she was saying he is opening up people to violence by asking whether women are the only people who can have pregnancies.

Bridges eventually asked Hawley if he believes men can get pregnant.

“No, I don’t think men can get pregnant,” Hawley said.

She then suggests Hawley should take her class and he may learn a lot.
