Exactly one year after the bombing at the Kabul Airport that killed 13 U.S. servicemembers, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), a combat veteran of the Global War on Terror, today released a new video honoring one of the fallen servicemembers, Red Oak native Cpl. Daegan William-Tyeler Page.

“One year later, Red Oak – and our country – is still mourning the death of Cpl. Page and the 12 other servicemembers who were killed,” said Senator Ernst. “They will forever have the gratitude of a thankful nation and are cemented in American history as our heroes. No matter the time passed, we will always remember and honor these patriots and their loved ones.”
