September 17 marks Citizenship Day and Constitution Day here in America. President Joe Biden was quick to put out a video celebrating Citizenship Day:

“Ever since our nation was founded, America has been nurtured and enriched by contributions, sacrifices and dreams of immigrants from every part of the world. Every immigrant comes here from different circumstances and for different reasons. But they all have one thing in common — courage. It takes courage to leave behind all you have ever known and start a new life in America. And Citizenship Day is a reminder that the job of every single one of us is to ensure that America remains a country worthy of immigrants’ aspirations.”

Interestingly, Biden says “in our democracy…”

So, on Constitution Day, he says America has a democracy and ignores the fact we are a constitutional republic.
