Crystal Holt, government teacher at Denison High School, returned to work recently after the district investigated her use of a derogatory racial term used in a historical, educational context.

The reaction to the situation gained attention across the state of Iowa. A board meeting held earlier this month featured near unanimous support for Mrs. Holt.

She has, though, been allowed to return to work.

That doesn’t mean this controversy is going to go away, however.

The Iowa Informer, an “independent, alternative media source for Iowa politics, news, cultural coverage and creative content,” is actively and openly seeking student concerns with Mrs. Holt.

“If you’ve got more information about students’ concerns with Denison High government teacher Crystal Holt, the wife of immigration-hardliner state Rep. Steven Holt, we’d be interested in taking a closer look,” the publication posted on social media.

While Mrs. Holt returned to school, it seems resolution for some on the Left will be impossible.
