The book “Wait, What? A Comic Book Guide to Relationships, Bodies and Growing Up” is available at more than 20 public libraries across Iowa. According to Amazon, its intended reading level begins in fourth grade.
Fourth grade.
And, of course, it comes recommended by the American Library Association as one of the best LGBTQ graphic novels of 2019.
It is labeled “the perfect growing-up guide for pre-teens.”
Pre-teens.
What pre-teen book wouldn’t promote transgenderism? And, after being told to trust the science, the book instructs fourth-grade students to reject biology.
“Trans girls like me — whose sense of gender isn’t the same as the sex a doctor said I was when I was born, that’s all — are just as real as girls like Alexis and Malia. That’s also true about trans boys.”
They also want to make sure your 10-year-old understands this:
It is also imperative to these individuals that your child understands sexuality is a spectrum.

“Masturbation is a word we use to describe when someone touches their own body to give themselves comfort and pleasure, or to express or explore sexual feelings. It’s sex by yourself. Usually masturbation involves touching your genitals in some way, but it doesn’t have to. It’s something that almost everybody has done, and something people usually first did when they were little kids, way before they knew the word for it.”
