Dr. Mary Talley Bowden, a Houston-based physician known for her advocacy on medical freedom and successful COVID-19 patient outcomes, endorsed Republican U.S. Senate candidate Jim Carlin during her weekly podcast today.
Bowden, founder of Americans for Health Freedom who reports keeping more than 6,000 COVID-19 patients out of the hospital and successfully suing the FDA over misinformation claims, praised Carlin’s steadfast commitment to medical freedom. She highlighted his opposition to mandatory vaccinations during the COVID-19 pandemic and his campaign pledge to “Stop the Squeeze” on the middle class through reduced government spending and economic relief.
“Jim Carlin has shown the same courage that I’ve tried to demonstrate in standing up for patients’ rights and individual liberties,” Bowden said on the podcast. “He fought against vaccine mandates when it mattered most, and he understands the economic pressures crushing American families.”
Bowden recognized shared traits of principled leadership in Carlin and urged her audience to follow his campaign on X at @Carlin4USSenate and provide financial support.
Carlin, a former Iowa state senator and attorney running for the U.S. Senate seat in Iowa, thanked Bowden for the endorsement in a post on X.
“This endorsement from Dr. Bowden, a true warrior for medical freedom, means a great deal,” Carlin said. “Together, we’ll fight to restore common sense in Washington, protect personal freedoms and stop the squeeze on hardworking Iowans.”
