Iowa Sen. Dennis Guth filed Senate File 99 last week. The bill requires a medical examiner investigation form for infants 0-3 years old include a request for information regarding the date and type of the decedent’s last immunization.

If the decedent received more than one immunization at the time of the last immunization, the information provided shall include all types of immunizations received.

The bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services to amend the medical examiner investigation form for infants 0-3 to comply with the bill.

Blank Children’s Hospital is registered against the bill.

The Iowa Board of Regents, Iowa Academy of Family Physicians and Iowa Osteopathic Medical Association, are registered undecided.
