Jeremy Taylor released the following statement concerning the Main Street PAC’s plan to spend $100,000 in support of State Senator Randy Feenstra’s campaign against Congressman Steve King and Randy Feenstra’s questionable accountability:

Jeremy Taylor writes:

Today the Daily Kos lauded the fact that Defending Main Street, “a super PAC set up to stop anti-establishment candidates from winning GOP primaries,” has announced that it will spend $100,000 on mail and get-out-the-vote efforts in support of Randy Feenstra.

The news from the Daily Kos is not a surprise. From the first time Feenstra went on CNN’s Don Lemon to raise money from the liberal Left to attack Steve King and ask Don Lemon’s liberal audience to contribute, conservatives have distrusted Feenstra.

In addition to refusing multiple opportunities to debate, Randy Feenstra was the only candidate in the race who refused to answer The Iowa Standard’s questions on pro-life issues and where he stands. Feenstra refused to answer life questions concerning exceptions posed by WHO’s Simon Conway and couldn’t give a straight answer on Conway’s program on whether Republican senators were wrong to vote in favor of a budget that adds to our already $23 trillion debt. Like the issues of sports gambling in Iowa—where Feenstra was single-handedly responsible for advancing the bill by bringing it up as Ways and Means Chair and voting for it and then voting against the same exact bill on the floor—Randy Feenstra wants it both ways. Feenstra still refuses to commit to a debate so Iowans can see clearly where he stands on the issues. In his own words spoken on the floor, “What are you afraid of?”

I got into this race because Iowa’s Fourth District needs to be represented by a constitutionalist and conservative who can be rock solid on the issues, win in the general election against JD Scholten, serve on committees that matter to northwest Iowa and that defend our Constitution, and help to take back the US House from the likes of Nancy Pelosi. President Trump needs a reliable conservative ally in the House. My record is absolutely clear where I stand with American Conservative Union’s A ranking. I am the electable constitutionalist who can win.

In my 17,000 miles and over 75 events in IA-04, I have learned that conservatives will not support another “go-along-to-get-along” Republican. I will continue to be specific and clear on where I stand. The majority of my financial support comes from former supporters of Congressman King . The over 50 elected officials, faith leaders, veterans, and conservative activists who have endorsed my campaign include the Co-Chair of the Iowa Trump Campaign, the lead counsel for the State of Iowa’s Heartbeat Bill, and the Iowa State College Republicans. They have no doubt where I stand and how I will fight for our historic rights and values in the halls of Congress.
