Republican Rep. Dean Fisher joined Rep. Steven Holt’s Zoom conference to speak out against vaccine mandates.

“I know we’re all frustrated by the Biden Administration’s move to use OSHA to impose this mandate with the COVID vaccine,” Fisher said. “I think this is a horrible overreach by the Biden Administration and an abuse of the OSHA charter as well.”

Fisher said the mandate puts citizens and businesses in a bind — forcing people to choose between their livelihoods and their objection to taking a vaccine that has serious questions circling about it.

“I’m in full support of what you call bodily autonomy, medical freedom, the right to privacy or simply your rights as a citizen,” Fisher said. “All of these are being trampled by the Biden Administration’s dictates.

“We hear your pleas loud and clear and we want to do something about it.”

Fisher said he’s been working on a solution that is “difficult” to find at the state level.

“The states have so little authority or power over the federal agencies and that is an issue that goes far beyond just this COVID vaccine issue,” Fisher added. “We’ll continue to work for a solution, continue to look for ways to resist and fight this horrendous Democrat overreach.”
