Republican State Rep. Dean Fisher was endorsed by The FAMiLY Leader on Thursday. Fisher is running for Iowa House District 53 and could potentially square off with State Rep. Dave Maxwell.

“Rep. Fisher is an experienced lawmaker with a long track record of leadership, including sponsoring and voting for the Protect Life Amendment and advocating for parental choice in education,” said Chuck Hurley, vice president and chief legal counsel for The FAMiLY Leader. “Iowans in Tama and Poweshiek counties deserve strong, courageous and hard-working representation in the Iowa House, and Rep. Fisher has proven he will deliver.”

Fisher has served in the Iowa House since winning election in 2012.

“I very much appreciate the endorsement by The FAMiLY Leader,” he said. “I am honored and humbled that they have recognized my commitment to the pro-life cause.”
