On Thursday, Rep. Mark Green, who serves on the House Armed Services Committee, sent a letter joined by 30 colleagues, demanding answers from Department of Defense Education Activity Director, Thomas M. Brady regarding the recent surge of obscene pornographic materials active within the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) school system. Public reporting and communications via military families have confirmed that DoDEA schools have included sexually explicit material available to minors in school libraries.

Green said “This is completely unacceptable and appalling that DoDEA would willingly expose underage children to this grotesque material. Our first duty is to protect our children. As a father and someone who served in uniform, I find it appalling that our children are subjected to this indoctrination and grooming.”

“The families of the 66,000 military-connected children entrusted to Director Brady deserve more than this. Military parents have the sacred right to both understand and provide input into the education of their children. We demand that this right be honored in DoDEA schools to rectify the negative outcomes we have outlined as soon as possible.”
