Few Republicans hold the convictions of the loyal conservative voters who comprise the GOP base and are able to communicate them as well as Rep. Steve Holt. The chair of the House Judiciary Committee, Holt has proven to be not just a conservative leader in the Iowa House, but an effective one.

And that’s why this Marine deserves at least two more years in the chamber.

Holt bleeds conservative values. He stands for innocent, unborn life and will staunchly defend Second Amendment rights.

He isn’t afraid to put his name at the top of bills dealing with controversial issues and doesn’t shy away from debate. You can find the bills he has sponsored or cosponsored the last two years at this link.

According to I Voter Guide, Holt ranks as “very conservative.”

The American Conservative Union Foundation (Iowa) gave him a score of 92 percent in 2019. He received 100 percent from NFIB-Iowa in 2017-18.

There is little sense in going much further. Every Iowa conservative knows they can count on Representative Steve Holt.
