One of the biggest personalities in the Iowa House is Rep. Jon Jacobsen from Iowa House District 22. Jacobsen has done an outstanding job in the Iowa Legislature and should be elected to another two-year term.

First and foremost, Jacobsen gets it right on the biggest issue of them all — life. He sponsored Alfie’s Law here in Iowa, which was a big step for Iowa parents.

He has also cosponsored legislation that protects the integrity of female sports in Iowa by requiring high school students to participate in athletics based on biological sex as determined at birth.

According to I Voter Guide, Jacobsen ranks as “conservative.” In 2019, he received a 92 percent from the American Conservative Union Foundation in Iowa. He was given an 83 percent from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).

His scores from the ACLU and the AFL-CIO? Zero.

In other words, right where it should be.

The NRA, Iowa Association of Business and Industry PAC, Iowa Corn Growers Association PAC and Iowa Pet Alliance have all endorsed Jacobsen.

We agree.

There is no reason for voters in Iowa House District 22 not to re-elect Jacobsen.
