It’s no secret, from agriculture to manufacturing, small-town America is in a battle for survival. Struggling to keep small businesses, hold onto family farms, and keep the sense of community we all remember growing up. It’s why who we support in 2026 matters up and down the ballot. And that’s for Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District, I am supporting Joe Mitchell for Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District.
Joe will have some big shoes to fill with Ashley Hinson moving on to run for the United States Senate, but he’s built an impressive campaign focused on a fresh perspective for our rural communities.
As a congressman, he will vote for lower taxes, tackle the affordability crisis in our country, and bring the American dream back for so many young people who feel left behind. His real world experience in real estate and property development gives him an actual perspective on such an important issue facing the country. Joe’s also someone who knows how to collaborate, and bring the right people in to create real solutions.
As a state patrolman, I also know Joe will be an ally for law enforcement. He will back the blue, the rule of law, and stand up to the radical Leftists who believe in no consequences and no jail time for those who break the law.
There are good candidates in the 2nd District Republican Primary, and I thought long and hard about my choice. But the reality is we need a strong candidate who will build a winning campaign, and fight like hell for our principles when he gets there. Joe has done an incredible job doing just that and making his way across the district and being accessible to voters all across Northeast Iowa.
Our rural communities deserve nothing less than an unwavering champion for true representation and we will get that with Joe Mitchell.
