U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley today announced his endorsement of Ryan Howard for Iowa House District 60.

“Ryan Howard works hard each day to make his community a better place,” said Senator Grassley. “Ryan is involved in youth mentoring and is a registered foster parent.”

Howard has a track record of getting engaged where he can make the biggest difference for our community. He is involved with multiple community-wide initiatives, including the Black Hawk County Coalitions on Child Care and Mental Health. He currently serves on the Cedar Valley United Way Board of Directors and is in his third year as chairman of the Education Community Impact Team.

“It is truly an honor to receive this endorsement from such a great and well-respected leader of our nation,” said Howard on Grassley’s endorsement.

Since 2012, through his work with the local United Way, Howard has helped to direct funding and resources to the high-impact local programs. These evidence-based programs help to create productive young adults, partner with schools and parents to improve child academic achievement and help to create successful transitions to career and work life.

Howard works at John Deere in supply management and operations, where he helps businesses improve their processes and operations. He and his wife Bruna also operate a state-registered in-home Child Care and are registered foster parents.

Ryan Howard has proven to the community that he has the integrity, passion and vision necessary to be the next State Representative for house district 60, which includes parts of Cedar Falls, Waterloo, Hudson and Lincoln.

Senator Grassley concluded, “The Cedar Valley will be well represented by Ryan, as he will bring compassion and common sense to Des Moines. I ask that you support Ryan Howard for House District 60.”

Ryan Howard was previously endorsed by the National Rifle Association and Dan Trelka, Republican candidate for Black Hawk County Sheriff.
