An Air Force veteran spoke Monday night at the Linn-Mar School District. He reminded the board of its oath to the Constitution, which each member took when joining the board.

He shared portions of the Constitution as well as the Declaration of Independence.

“These are great words, these are inspiring documents and this is what we need to instill into the hearts and minds of our children,” he said.

He then quoted from Phillipians 4:8 before finishing his remarks.

“These documents — our founding documents — these are worthy of praise,” he said. “And this is what we need to instill into the hearts and minds of our children and not transgender and homosexual activities. I implore you to reject this policy. It is not what our nation is founded upon.”
