Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee signed House Joint Resolution 182 into law on April 9. The resolution designates June as “Nuclear Family Month.” The resolution goes into effect immediately.
Representative Bud Hulsey sponsored the resolution, which states, “the nuclear family was the basic building block of Tennessee’s society throughout her formative years. The nuclear family is God’s perfect design for humanity and is aligned with the long-held traditional values of Tennessee.”
It also warns that the nuclear family is “under attack in our beloved state and nation.”
