It’s been two weeks since the defund the police movement gained traction amongst prominent Democrats across the country, but once again, Iowa Democrats are nowhere to found.

First, they kept silent on Tara Reade, now Theresa Greenfield, Abby Finkenauer, Rita Hart, Cindy Axne, and J.D. Scholten are refusing to comment on calls by leaders in their party to eliminate police departments around the country. Yet, Iowa leaders like Sen. Joni Ernst still found time to comment on a real movement making its way through cities across America noting that the concept of defunding the police was both an “absurd and radical position.”

Bottom Line: Theresa Greenfield, Abby Finkenauer, Rita Hart, Cindy Axne, and J.D. Scholten need to stop hiding behind the radical leaders of their party and give Iowans the answer they deserve.
