Iowa’s “First in the Nation” status is at risk, and Elizabeth Warren could be leading the charge behind the Democrats’ latest litmus test.
While Warren has stayed silent on the issue of “FITN” status, her top surrogates and campaign officials have been very vocal about their positions.
Julian Castro ran his campaign into the ground trying to tell Iowans that they weren’t capable of making decisions of presidential proportions. He’s now returned to Iowa on Warren’s behalf. Meanwhile, Warren national Co-Chair Ayanna Pressley told POLITICO Thursday that she too believes that Iowa’s status needs to be revoked for one reason: they probably don’t support her candidate.
As with tearing down border walls, government-run health care, the Green New Deal, and taxpayer-funded health care for illegal immigrants, Democrats are quick to adopt far-left policies in hopes of staying in the race a little bit longer.
Bottom line: Elizabeth Warren’s silence on the issue of Iowa’s “First in the Nation” status speaks volumes as she allows top campaign officials and surrogates to demonize Iowans and their choice for president. We need to know: Will Warren and other 2020 Democrats stand with Iowa as they look to keep their status as “FITN?”
