Republican State Representatives Mike Bousselot and Jon Dunwell helped with a benefit for Toys for Tots on Friday in Des Moines. The Republican National Committee and Republican Party of Iowa held the toy drive to help working-class families who are facing a rough holiday season due to record inflation and supply chain struggles.

“Republicans are focused on truly making a difference in our communities and building lasting relationships through serving others,” said RNC spokesman Kush Desai.  “Through these holiday charity drives, Republicans are living our values and showing that there is a place for every Iowan in the Republican Party.”

The RNC also organized toy drives in Linn and Muscatine counties as well as Wapello County.
