Congressman Chip Roy (TX-21) issued the following statement in response to the Trump administration’s decision to end President Biden’s abortion travel fund at the Pentagon.

“This is an important move from Secretary Hegseth and President Trump to right the myriad wrongs of the Biden administration; the American people never should have had to cover the tab for abortion tourism in the military.”

“This has been a long time coming. I was proud to work with my fellow Texans Beth Van Duyne and Ronny Jackson is leading the effort to defund this illegal policy under the Biden Administration. Senator Tuberville especially deserves commendation for his efforts to fight it and for standing up to the immense pressure he faced in the process. Congress should back up the administration and codify this change into law permanently.”
