Iowa Rep. Jeff Shipley (R-Jefferson) shared an article on his Facebook page on Wednesday. The article, from lifenews.com published on Aug. 27, 2015, talks about a Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Mobile, Ala. that failed to report suspected child sex abuse as required by law involving a 14-year old girl twice. The girl received two abortions within a four-month span.

The article goes into much more detail.

Iowa Sen. Claire Celsi (D-West Des Moines) commented on the article:

“I’m sure you must realize that this is not from a credible source,” Celsi wrote.

However, the source for the story is the Alabama Department of Public Health.

Celsi was asked if the Alabama Department of Public Health isn’t a credible enough source by another Facebook user. She did not respond to the question.
