As the nation honors the life of George Floyd, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) on Tuesday called on her colleagues, and all Americans, to work together and be part of the solution, not the problems that we’ve seen across our country. Senator Ernst noted that she will be having upcoming conversations about race and injustice, including with Senate Chaplain Barry Black.

Ernst also highlighted Will Keeps, a rapper and community organizer in Des Moines, and spoke about Keeps’ nonprofit that works with at-risk youth in the Des Moines metro area as an example of an organization we should look towards to help find solutions to inequality throughout our communities.
