U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), who completed her sixth annual tour of Iowa’s 99 counties last week, called on her colleagues to come together—in good faith—on a relief package to support the COVID-19 recovery. Ernst stressed that she heard from Iowans in every corner and county of the state on the importance of additional relief to allow Iowa’s small businesses take another pass at the Paycheck Protection Program, to ensure Iowa’s schools and child care providers have the support they need, and to provide the state’s farmers and agriculture community with the resources they need to recover from the hardship they’ve faced during the pandemic.
