While Joe Biden is busy defending the actions of China and claiming that they pose no threat to the United States, President Trump and Sen. Joni Ernst are protecting Iowans and putting America first.

President Trump and his administration have been fighting to create a level playing field for Americans to trade on the global stage. Under phase one of the China Trade Deal, China agreed to purchase $40-50 billion worth of U.S. agricultural products– putting an end to years of market manipulation that have hurt Iowa farmers and manufactures for far too long.

Sen. Joni Ernst understands the importance of holding China accountable. “We still see China purchasing soybeans, corn, we would love to see them purchase more hogs,” Ernst said in a recent interview with WOI. “They have a full two years to get the China phase one trade deal implemented, but we are really pushing them along on that. They need to continue to live up to their obligations according to that trade deal.”

Bottom Line: Despite Joe Biden’s bogus claims, Iowa farmers continue to be thankful for all of the work President Trump and Sen. Joni Ernst are doing to stand up to China. When Iowans go to the ballot box in November, they can rest assured that President Trump and Sen. Ernst continue to put Americans first.
