Reporters were able to press Senator Chuck Grassley on the endorsement he received from President Donald J. Trump at last Saturday’s rally in Des Moines.

Grassley, whose record and words are exactly the record and words President Trump says deserve a primary, received the endorsement despite saying Trump couldn’t lead the GOP, Trump belittled and harassed elected officials across the country, Mike Lindell is a liar, voting to certify the election and voting in support of the infrastructure bill. Grassley also said Trump’s language was “extreme, aggressive and irresponsible.”

When reporters asked Grassley about the endorsement, he reportedly said he “took advantage” of what Grassley does with most presidents whether Republican or Democrat.

“I don’t look at the individual president – do I like him or not like him,” Grassley said. “I look at their policies. So I had five minutes to point out the bad policies of this president.”

According to reports, when Grassley was asked if he agrees with Trump’s claims of election fraud, Grassley answered:

“I spoke to that on December the 13th when the electoral votes were cast, and I said ‘President Biden’s president of the United States.'”

When Grassley accepted Trump’s endorsement, he made it clear he was only accepting the endorsement for political reasons.

“If I didn’t accept the endorsement of a person that’s got 91 percent of the Republican voters in Iowa, I wouldn’t be too smart,” he said. “I’m smart enough to accept that endorsement.”
