The recent situations at the Pella Aquatic Center, and now Jefferson, have been eye-opening for Iowans across the political spectrum. (There was a girl who identified herself as a male that was walking around topless in Pella.) Gender identity and sexual orientation were added to the Civil Rights Act in 2007 by the Democratic trifecta and I do not think anyone could have predicted at that time these types of situations to have happened as a result. These recent situations have made a number of Iowans across the political spectrum furious. I have heard from individuals who are shocked and wondering what moral path our state is on and what other shocking events could happen.
The largest Republican trifecta in almost 50 years has been sent to Des Moines to clean up the fiscal and moral mess left by leftists on a variety of issues. So far, we have made progress, but there are still some issues to work on, including making sure the Iowa Civil Rights Code is fair- to ALL Iowans. I would like to address this additional failure of the left next session.
Iowans are counting on Republicans now to push the reset button and place Iowa back on the right moral path once again.
