Keep the Iowa Standard Going!
Dear 4th Congressional District Republicans,
I write to give my full endorsement to Congressman Steve King in the 4th Congressional District Republican Primary.
I have no doubt that Congressman King is the best candidate running for this seat, and the best person to represent the 4th Congressional District for another two years. He has an undeniable and reliable conservative record. You don’t have to wonder where he’s at on the important issues facing the district, state, nation, and world.
I have known Steve King for more than a decade, and spent nearly five years working for him as a congressional staffer in Washington, D.C. and in Northwest Iowa. I have seen him at work, at home, and even walking ditches on pheasant hunts. Congressman King continues to work tirelessly for this district, visiting all 39 counties each year, and has a heart, passion, dedication, and tenacity that is second to none. I have seen first-hand his incredible ability to connect with people – in professional settings, political settings, and even in the aisles of Menards buying a circular saw blade.
He is a strong voice for the sanctity of life, fiscal restraint, the rule of law, and a strong America on the world stage. He is a refreshing voice that isn’t afraid to speak for and defend our values, even if that means opposing his own leadership. (And frankly, I wouldn’t want a congressman that John Boehner or Paul Ryan had under his thumb!)
I will be forever grateful to Congressman King for his part in the best gift I’ve ever received— my wife. I met my wife while interning in his office during college. More than ten years and two kids later, we are proud to live, work, and raise our family in Northwest Iowa.
I’m voting for Steve King because he is a strong ally of President Trump, I know where he’s at on the issues, and I don’t have any doubts about his character or integrity. We need a congressman who will fight for what’s right, even in the face of a smear campaign by the left and even the Republican establishment. I hope the voice of the people comes through loud and clear on June 2nd and gives Steve King a spot on the ballot in November.
