Senate File 389 was one of a few bills to advance out of Tuesday’s Senate Transportation Committee meeting. The bill relates to the operation of motor vehicles in the left-most lane of certain roadways.

Twelve of the 13 committee members voted in support, with Democrat Sen. Kevin Kinney voting against the measure.

The bill will next face a vote before the full Iowa Senate.
