SF 389: Senate File 389 was filed by Sen. Jake Chapman. It’s an act relating to the operation of motor vehicles in the left-most lane of certain roadways.

SF 400: Senate File 400 was filed by Sen. Charles Schneider. It’s an act relating to disclosures of certain information, including reprisals with respect to employees of a political subdivision of the state and providing information to employees concerning the office of ombudsman.

SF 406: Senate File 406 was filed by Sen. Jim Carlin. It’s an act relating to nonresident alien public offense data collection and analysis.

SSB 1174: Senate Study Bill 1174 was proposed by the Department of Commerce/Utilities Division. It’s an act relating to matters under the purview of the utilities division of the Dept. of Commerce.

The bill designates the segment of U.S. Highway 20, which crosses the state from Sioux City to Dubuque, as the “Iowa Patriots Memorial Highway.”

SF 326: Senate File 326 was filed by Sen. Randy Feenstra. It’s an act prohibiting the expenditure of certain public moneys for dues or membership fees to certain high school athletic organizations.

The bill prohibits a school district from expending any moneys to pay dues or membership fees to the Iowa High School Athletic Association or the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union on or after Jan. 1, 2022. The bill authorizes a school district to expend moneys to pay dues or membership fees to a single organization that is a successor organization to both the IHSAA and the IGHSAU on or after Jan. 1, 2022.

SSB 1167: Senate Study Bill 1167 was proposed by Sen. Brad Zaun. It’s an act creating a blue alert program within the Department of Public Safety for the apprehension of a person suspected of killing or seriously injuring a peace officer in the line of duty or due to safety concerns for a peace officer missing while on duty.
