When the satanic display by the Satanic Temple was allowed in the Capitol in 2023, Brad was a lead voice in the state, and the lead voice in the Iowa Legislature, fighting against it. His understanding of the First Amendment and its original intent resulted in thoughtful constitution-based articles and proposed legislation which gained national attention. Brad called for its removal when no one who was in position to remove it would act.
Trump and Election Integrity
It is easy to talk “MAGA” now, but Brad was the first state legislator in 2024, and the only candidate in this race for Governor, to endorse President Trump when they were trying to throw him in jail! Brad also makes this point regarding his endorsement of President Trump: “How can you say you stand for election integrity and not endorse Donald Trump? Doing so amounts to sweeping the stolen election under the rug.”

It is doubtful that any of the other candidates in this race would be running if the incumbent was still running — EXCEPT FOR BRAD! Brad is the ONLY candidate who got into this race before Governor Reynolds decided not to run, proving he is willing to stand up to establishment politics.
