According to an analysis conducted by Fox News Digital, at least 181 K-12 educators were arrested on child sex-related crimes in the United States in the first half of 2022. The charges range from child pornography to raping students and included four principals.

The analysis shows exactly one arrest per day on average. The arrests involved four principals, 153 teachers, 12 teachers’ aides and 12 substitute teachers.

Fox News Digital reports that at least 140 of the arrests involved alleged crimes against students, with men making up 78 percent of the arrests.

Senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, Christopher Rufo, said this is a scandal the Left is “doing everything in its power to suppress.”

“The basic fact is incontrovertible: every day, a public school teacher is arrested, indicted or convicted for child sex abuse. And yet, the teachers unions, the public school bureaucracies and the left-wing media pretend that the abuse isn’t happening and viciously attack families who raise concerns,” he said.

In 2004, the last report released by the Department of Education on the topic, nearly 9.6 percent of students are targets of educator sexual misconduct sometime during their school career.
