I know many of you are as concerned with the news out of the White House regarding vaccine mandates as I am. The series of government mandates announced by the Biden Administration yesterday is an alarming and unprecedented level of government overreach and intrusion into the lives of Iowans.
Setting aside the unnerving amount of control the Biden Administration is attempting to have over Iowans’ personal lives, this is just bad policy. Iowa is already struggling with a workforce shortage that existed even before COVID-19 and has only been exacerbated by the pandemic.
Iowa House Republicans have been clear: we trust you to make the best decisions for you and your family regarding COVID-19. Whether it’s wearing a mask or getting a vaccine, that decision should be made by you, not bureaucrats in Washington DC. Last session, we took steps to return the decision-making power to you. And now, the Biden Administration is doing everything in its power to take those decisions away.
We will not stop protecting your freedoms. We will stand firm against the Biden Administration’s attacks against your individual liberties.
