Iowa has become a mascot to New Green Deal supporters across the nation, a beacon of hope for Modern Liberals everywhere.

Publicly all of Iowa’s lawmakers support renewables. They support industrial wind, industrial solar, personal solar, excess power lines, the Renewable Fuel Standard for ethanol, biofuels, carbon capture pipelines for ethanol, electric vehicles, electric charging stations and large-scale batteries. None of these things make money. These businesses take from the federal pot of money we all contribute to.

Remember the government DOES NOT MAKE MONEY, they take money or give businesses the “right” not to pay taxes. When the Government takes our money and gives it by fistfuls to businesses that cannot survive on the free market that IS NOT fiscally responsible. It is Socialism. If you want renewables, pay for it yourself, build your business like everyone else. It is…or was… the American way.

Governor Reynolds firmly stands behind “Power Up Iowa”, a group supporting the inundation of renewables in Iowa. Big Tech comes to Iowa because of our renewable energy and receives tax incentives. On the Iowa Economic Development website, we read “Tech leaders like Google, Facebook and Microsoft have invested billions in data centers in Iowa. The state has affordable and ample wind energy, a stable grid, a high density of telecommunications infrastructure and low costs for construction projects. In addition, the state of Iowa may offer 50 or 100 percent refunds on sales and use tax for data center projects.”

Iowa’s utilities alone “received” at least $22 Billion from taxpayers to build wind turbines while our rates never decreased.  How is this fiscally responsible?? Industrial wind does not and cannot replace traditional on-, demand generation. Only if citizens also foot the bill on $Billions in excess power lines and large-scale batteries. Yes, our utility companies want to build more power lines and again dip into taxpayer money to fund it. Once built we will pay them a guaranteed rate of return on every bit of infrastructure. It is called the Averch-Johnson Effect or gold-plating. The government used to strongly discourage this type of spending but now they champion it.

Considering the Infrastructure Bill that Senator Grassley signed that greatly forwards the cause of renewables one wonders how any supposedly GOP leader supports this kind of fiscal grift. The one answer is that Senator Grassley firmly believes in Climate Change, a view Patriots and Christians know to be false. Iowa is a surprisingly corrupt, Swampy state. I use the subject of renewables as my litmus test for people running for office in Iowa. If they are true Patriots or followers of Christ Jesus, they cannot support the financial structure and reasons for renewables.  If you think you are a Patriot or Christian that supports renewables, I would like to see you write a piece here that clearly describes how you can hold both views.

Renewables stem from a belief in Climate Change. God did not create fuels that would destroy this planet, the things we have are blessings, not consumerism. He has already explained the end of the story for our planet and the only thing people should be worried about is His vengeance.

James 4:1-5 says this, “What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?  You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.”
