Last week I said that there would be another narrative to get us into fear. It is not that I know the future, it is because we all can look at the past.
How is it that the whole US government and its military leaders could withdraw from Afghanistan so badly? Are they so incompetent to leave the Taliban to free thousands of incarcerated terrorists and then also leaving guns, equipment and Humvees as a boost for the Taliban instead of at least blowing it all up? Now we are importing refugees. Are any of these refugees part of the released prisoners? Is anyone checking?

Fear of Covid, fear of Climate Change, the pitting of one sort of people class against another….fear. I John 4:18 tells us “There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.” God is Love. The closer we draw to Him, the further we are from fear. We can then act decisively from a firm foundation, being led by His Spirit like our Founding Fathers were.
