I spent some time on the Des Moines Register’s Facebook page today just utilizing my free speech. Debating with Liberals is a great way to see things afresh! Everyone wants the government to do something different. The Democrats want money for the homeless, the Republicans want to build CO2 pipelines, Liberals want CRT and pornography in their schools, Conservatives don’t….

It seems clear, we all just need to stop giving the government money! Every person will take their own money they themselves make and give it to the causes they want to support. Bruce Rastetter would give all his money to sequestering CO2, the people at the Des Moines Register would give their money to the homeless, Warren Buffett would build wind turbines (or would he?). Then everyone could stop arguing about where all of our tax money goes.

There would be no more need for lobbyists since there would be no money to be made by policy. The only money the government would have would be the money we carefully and thoughtfully dole out to it to do specific jobs. No more passing bills in order to “give” money to this person or that cause, the people would decide on their own! It is like voting with money! The government would have to account for every penny- much like they account for every one of our pennies now.  We would need itemized bills and balanced receipts.

This is called a free, market-driven, liberated country just like our forefathers intended.

I will bet that all our lawmakers would hate this idea. Then Speaker Pat Grassley couldn’t threaten to march down to someone’s office for going against his wishes, he would have to kindly engage in a debate of ideas. Governor Reynolds wouldn’t have to get stressed sick over mandates because she would not have that power.

This plan would get rid of tyrants, only people that truly wanted to serve would be public servants. I would vote for a person that had the nerve to support the People rather than the Government.
