The “mark of the beast” phrase usually pops up whenever people are all urged to do one thing such as having a social security number, vaccines or vaccine passports.

Are any of these the mark of the beast?

The Bible says, “And he (the beast) causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.” Revelation 13:16-17

That is very specific. Those words would have sounded ridiculously impossible throughout history until recently. How was that written thousands of years ago if not by the power of God?

According to scripture we have not yet seen the mark of the beast but what we have seen is talk of it. The powers that be want to be able to force the people to do what they want, when they want because we depend on the things they hold. They hold the most of our news, social media, our entertainment, science, medicine, our schools, our government and much of our marketplace now. We can see how by banning together these folks could effectively enslave us all if our only faith is in them and the things of this world.

The Bible says, “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.” I John 2:15.

“For they had bartered the reality of God for what is unreal, and had offered divine honors and religious service to created things, rather than to the Creator–He who is for ever blessed. Amen.” Romans 1:25

The Bible always knew that people would put His created things above Himself. By doing so we show our true heart. That is why the first Commandment is: “You shall have no other gods before me.” Exodus 20:3.

What is a vaccine passport? It is a precursor to the mark of the beast because without it you will not be able to buy in person. The world will eventually accept the mark of the beast, they will celebrate it and pat themselves on the back for how smart and progressive they are. They will ignore the fact that the Bible they scorn has already said they would do it. They will speak of unity, security and peace.

People fool themselves when they think that Jesus came to bring unity and peace. Not at all.

Jesus said,

“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn

‘a man against his father,

a daughter against her mother,

a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—

a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’

“Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.” Matthew 10:33-39

Jesus told His disciples in John 16:2, “They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God.”  His Apostles were hanged, flayed and crucified for the sake of the Gospel. Shall we expect to have it easy?

These words are hard to swallow but not when put in the Light of the Gospel and the fact that Jesus is asking to be our provider, our shepherd. He wants us to depend on Him for everything. We are not to run to anyone or anything else before Him.

Many of us are going along with all this worldly herding because we can’t imagine that God would actually give us the physical things we need, we have no real faith in Him.

Jesus healed; He did not find a good doctor. Jesus fed people without a food bank. Jesus cast out demons; He did not offer weekly mental health sessions. Jesus raised the dead. Jesus told us not to worry about tomorrow; He knows tomorrow. Even most churches do not teach the real Jesus anymore. Jesus is still the same as He was then.

Imagine the folks that will actually have to accept or reject the mark of the beast. What if you were given that ultimatum? The Bible says this of those that accept it, “A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.  And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.” Revelation 14:9-12

Why aren’t we teaching the Word everywhere? What could possibly be more important than the reality of the Living God? Don’t be a fool. God will not be mocked. Mankind will reap what they sow.
