The 58th annual Iowa Prayer Breakfast will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 7:15-8:45 a.m. It will be held at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center (formerly Veterans Memorial Auditorium) at 883 5th Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50309.
The purpose of the Iowa Prayer Breakfast is to bring together Iowa’s governor, state legislators, and community and religious leaders to join with the public to ask God’s direction and blessing upon the state. Starting in 1961, Iowans have continued this beloved tradition, gathering every Maundy Thursday to celebrate the beginning of the Easter weekend. People from all walks of life come to enjoy the reading of Scripture, listen to local vocalists and musicians, and to hear an inspiring message from a selected keynote speaker. Governor Reynolds has committed to attend this year’s prayer breakfast. Lt. Governor Adam Gregg and Senator Joni Ernst have also committed to attend.
Starring as “Tony Jordan” in the 2015 hit movie “War Room”, T.C. Stallings is an actor, speaker, and author aiming to use all of his gifts to live out his God-given purpose in life. Before T.C. began his acting career, he enjoyed a stellar football career in the collegiate and professional ranks.
T.C.’s main mission is to share the message of Christ and help others recognize the calling that God has placed on their lives. T.C. has been platformed by God through many ways including feature films, television commercials, sports modeling contracts, writing, and speaking opportunities in and out of the country.
The title of T.C. Stalling’s remarks is “When Prayer Takes First Place.”
