On Wednesday, The American Border Story (TABS) released the following statement after an ICE officer fired defensive shots during a violent confrontation in Minneapolis:
“(On Wednesday), ICE officers in Minneapolis began conducting lawful enforcement operations to locate and arrest criminal illegal aliens in the city. This mission was met by radical, violent protesters who attempted to obstruct federal law enforcement efforts and intimidate officers with threats of violence.
Unfortunately, one protester escalated the violence even further, attempting to use her vehicle as a weapon to run down and kill ICE agents. An officer responded in self-defense, firing shots to protect his life and the lives of his fellow agents.
Let there be no confusion: this was an attempted act of domestic terrorism. Over the last year, ICE officers have faced a staggering surge in threats and violence fueled by reckless rhetoric on the left. Violence against our men and women in uniform will never be tolerated.
TABS stands firmly with ICE and all members of law enforcement who put their lives on the line everyday to enforce the law, arrest dangerous criminals, and keep American families safe.”
