TABS Spokesperson Alexis Wilkins released the following statement in support of a new bill introduced by Congressman Chip Roy to block and deport illegal immigrants who adhere to Sharia law:
“The Constitution is the supreme law of the land.
Unlike in Europe, the rule of law in the United States is not fickle or negotiable. The Trump Administration has made it clear that anyone who seeks to undermine it is not welcome in this country. There is no second standard of conduct or alternate set of rules within our borders.
Representative Chip Roy and House Republicans are taking bold action to protect our constitutional republic by ensuring that adherents of Sharia Law are prohibited from immigrating to the United States. As Congressman Roy stated, ‘Europe should be a wake-up call to America.’
