The American Border Story (TABS) today released the following statement in response to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)’s announcement that 2 million illegal immigrants have left or been removed from the United States since President Trump took office:

After years of weak and broken borders during Joe Biden’s presidency, the country is finally turning a corner toward a future where criminals are held accountable, law-abiding Americans can live without fear, and Angel Families can rest easy knowing that justice has been served.
In under 250 days, 400,000 illegal immigrants have been deported by federal law enforcement and 1.6 million more have self-deported, marking a historic pace compared to any past presidential administration. DHS predicts that we will hit a new milestone of 600,000 deportations by the end of President Trump’s first year back in office.
For four consecutive months, CBP has reported zero illegal alien releases into the United States. This is in stark contrast to the previous administration’s open border policies, which resulted in a seemingly endless stream of illegal immigrants crossing our borders and ravaging our communities.
