Congressional candidate Jeremy Taylor signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge, a written promise to the people of Iowa that he will not support any increase in taxes.  The Taxpayer Protection Pledge was created by Americans for Tax Reform.

Jeremy Taylor, candidate for Iowa’s Fourth Congressional District, stated:

“This is my solemn promise to the taxpayers of Iowa’s 4th Congressional District that I will oppose and vote against any increase in their federal taxes.  The federal government is still too large and too intrusive.  Its creeping growth strangles our economy and takes away our freedoms.  The best way to limit the size of government, increase freedom, and create jobs is to limit the money that the government takes from Iowa families in the form of taxes.  I am proud to make this promise to the taxpayers of Iowa: I will never support any increase in taxes, and I will fight to continue to cut taxes.”

Grover Norquist, the president of Americans for Tax Reform, said in an ATR release:

“I want to congratulate Jeremy Taylor for signing the Taxpayer Protection Pledge, and in doing so, affirming his commitment to protect taxpayers in Iowa’s 4th congressional district… By signing the Pledge, Jeremy demonstrates that he will fight for all Iowans in Congress by working to keep their taxes low and grow the U.S. economy at historic rates.”
