Government schools are broken. They no longer effectively teach basic curricula such as English, math, history and science.
Instead, as captured ground of leftwing teachers unions like the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers, they spread “woke” ideologies such as Critical Race Theory, anti-American “history,” socialist economics, and ever more perverse sexual corruption at earlier and earlier ages.
What are parents to do? The best answer is to get our children and grandchildren out of government schools if possible and into homeschooling or solidly grounded Christian schools.
National School Choice Week (NSCW) is being celebrated this year from January 22 to January 28.
Its purpose is to inform, inspire and empower parents “to discover the K-12 education options available for their children, while generating widespread public awareness of the importance of school choice.”
NSCW’s website explains: “School choice means giving parents access to the best K-12 education options for their children. These options include traditional public schools, public charter schools, magnet schools, private schools, online learning, and homeschooling.”
The good news is that millions of children are now being homeschooled or attend a Christian school. Many parents during the COVID lockdowns got a good look online at what their children were getting in school. They pulled their kids out and began to homeschool or enroll them in private schools.
In addition, a parents revolt at government schools is underway all over the country. School boards are facing scrutiny from a mobilized public. Leftists are being voted out and replaced with conservatives.
We may be seeing the dawn of a new, positive era of education in America – driven by school choice.
