The Trump Administration has launched Operation Southern Spear, a sweeping military campaign aimed at crippling the violent narco-terrorist networks responsible for pumping deadly drugs into American communities. The move is already drawing strong praise from border-security advocates who say the operation marks a long-overdue return to decisive leadership.

Alexis Wilkins, spokesperson for The American Border Story (TABS), applauded President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for taking what she called “bold, unapologetic action” to protect American families.

“Operation Southern Spear represents exactly the kind of decisive leadership America has needed for years: unapologetic, mission-driven, and laser-focused on eliminating the cartels and traffickers who poison our communities,” Wilkins said.

For years, conservatives have warned that the U.S. is facing not just a drug crisis, but a national-security emergency fueled by ruthless cartel organizations operating with impunity. While opioid deaths continue to devastate families nationwide, Democrat lawmakers have largely refused to confront the cross-border criminal networks driving the carnage.

Wilkins said that contrast is now impossible to ignore.

“For too long, Democrat politicians have ignored the devastation caused by these ruthless drug-trafficking networks. While they refuse to confront the crisis, President Trump and Secretary Hegseth are delivering real results—protecting American families, restoring law and order, and reasserting America’s strength throughout the Western Hemisphere.”

Operation Southern Spear is expected to combine intelligence operations, joint-task-force coordination, maritime interdiction, and targeted military pressure against cartel infrastructure throughout the region. Supporters say the strategy marks the first administration in decades willing to treat cartel violence with the seriousness it deserves.

TABS praised both the administration and the U.S. Armed Forces, calling America’s service members “the front line in the fight to keep our families safe.”

“TABS applauds the Trump Administration and the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces for their relentless determination to dismantle these violent cartel networks, defend the homeland, and keep American families safe,” Wilkins added.

As Operation Southern Spear ramps up, conservatives argue it sends a clear message: the days of ignoring cartel terror are over, and America is prepared to defend its borders with strength—not political theater.
