During his speech Friday at the Republican Party of Lee County’s Lincoln Reagan dinner in Florida, President Donald J. Trump vowed to sign an executive order to push back on schools that shove Critical Race Theory and “transgender insanity” on their students.

Trump will cut federal funding for any school pushing CRT or the “transgender insanity” or other inappropriate racial, sexual or political content on children.

“And I will also support parents’ rights,” he said. “Can you believe you have to say this? I say this all the time. Our country over the last 12, 13, 14 years has gone cuckoo. It’s gone a little bit cuckoo. Who wouldn’t support parents’ rights? A lot of the people in our leadership wouldn’t support it.”

Trump also called for the direct election of principals by parents.

“We want the principals not to be hired because they’re radical Left lunatics,” he said. “If any principal is not getting the job done, the parents should be able to vote to fire them and to select somebody who will get the job done.”

Schools with a vaccine mandate — from kindergarten through college — will not receive “one penny” from a Trump Administration either, he said.
