President Donald J. Trump was in a celebratory mood on Tuesday night as Joe Kent beat Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler in a congressional primary in Washington State. Herrera Beutler was one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach President Trump.
Herrera Beutler also voted in support of the Jan. 6 Committee, said Trump “incited a riot” on Jan. 6, called protestors in the Capitol “terrorists,” has a 50 percent lifetime score from Freedom Works and a 57 percent Liberty Score from Conservative Review.
Still she was given donations from the leadership PACs of Randy Feenstra, Ashley Hinson and Mariannette Miller-Meeks.
President Trump said the following regarding his win, and the Iowa GOP delegation’s loss:
“Joe Kent just won an incredible race against all odds in Washington State. Importantly, he knocked out yet another impeacher, Jaime Herrera Beutler, who so stupidly played right into the hands of the Democrats.
Joe is a wonderful guy, who bravely served our Country as a Green Beret. He has a truly bright future.
Congratulations, Joe!”
