Tucker Carlson had Dr. Peter McCullough on his show Wednesday night to discuss a recent paper that PUBMED published.

The paper by Dr. Peter McCullough and Dr. Panagis Polykretis states that since the COVID vaccination program began, there have been 1,598 athletes who have suffered cardiac arrest in European sports leagues, with 1,101 of those being fatal. Over a 38-year period (1966-2004), 1,101 under the age 35 died.

“Does that prove something,” Carlson asked. “We don’t know. But you should know that.”

McCullough said the concern is that athletes at a professional level are carefully screened for underlying heart disease.

“There are rare conditions, genetic abnormalities and heart rhythm that can present, but sudden cardiac death should be a very unusual phenomenon,” McCullough said.

He said it is extremely unusual in the NFL due to the high level of scrutiny. McCullough said it appeared to be a hard tackle with head and neck impact, but he got up, clapped and then fell over backwards.

“It looked like a primary cardiac arrest,” McCullough said.

Everything done on the field looked “perfect,” McCullough added, noting the duration of CPR will be in a window where Damar Hamlin can have neurological recovery, but the issue is what caused the incident.

“The concern based on our research is that COVID-19 can cause myocarditis or heart damage,” McCullough said.

That damage can be asymptomatic and the initial presentation can be a cardiac arrest. He said there are other possibilities, but he believes the leading concern is vaccine-induced myocarditis if Hamlin has taken the vaccine.

“And boy, the family, the Bills doctors and the current doctors have a public health obligation to tell us if he’s taken the vaccine,” McCullough said.

Carlson asked McCullough about the CDC tweeting out that everyone can develop a blood clot, including athletes.

“It seems to me that they’re trying to tell us this is normal,” Carlson said. “Is it normal for young athletes to have life-threatening blood clots?”

McCullough said agencies should never try to “normalize side effects.”

“The FDA says the vaccines cause myocarditis and heart damage,” he said. “Autopsies, studies show it can be and is fatal. The same is true for blood clots and neurologic damage. Our agencies should be protecting the health of Americans and safety is job one. I’m disappointed that they’re minimizing it.”
